Adversity of Success

A Guest Post:

          The man who makes a success of an important venture never wails for the crowd. He strikes out for himself. It takes nerve, it takes a great lot of grit: But the man that succeeds has both. Anyone can fail. The public admires the man who has enough confidence in himself to take a chance. These chances are the main things after all. The man who tries to succeed must expect to be criticised.

          Nothing important was ever done but the greater number consulted previously doubted the possibility. Success is the accomplishment of that which most people think can't be done. Success is subjective, C.V. White might or might not compliment my statement, if I'm solipsistic about success , if that contains me because of what I believe and experience , please don't agree with me , but if I'm going to be volitional about success then I would say I'm too safe or maybe you have your point , but it is empirical to say that, while it is difficult, success is what we constantly look for everyday inspiration in our daily lives that drives us to perform towards our goals.

           Success is not just a destination. It is the sum total of all the hardships, inspiration and learning attained in the course of achieving it. Doing what we love is what gets us going. Success is just a mile away when we apply everyday goals into workable actions. We may not wake up to feel empowered every single day . There will be those inevitable hard or bad days when we need a little pep talk - a certain something to make us get up and mindlessly pursue what we love.Success for me therefore need not be big or small,
it is something that makes us happy and accomplished.

Punishment: Positive or Negative?

          Punishment is a form of penalty for a person who commits any crime. There are many ways of punishing a person who commits a particular offence ranging from one year, twenty years or even more in jail. For certain grievous crimes, much severe penalties like death or lifetime penalties are imposed. However some people contend that fixed punishment should be implemented for each type of crime while there are those who disagree for implementing such grave penalties.

          In some countries, death penalty is accorded to anyone who commits serious crimes such as rape and murder.  Moreover, it is such an idea from the government to discourage perpetrators of those heinous offences.However, in certain countries also where pro- life people are very much active, they tend to discourage such kind of grave punishments.

          In every incident of any heinous crime, it is constantly the cry of those victims and their loved ones to seek justice. At times, the pain especially the psychological one  penetrates even the deepest part of the person. Thus, they strongly support that those doers of serious crimes such as rape and murder should face either death penalty or life imprisonment.  And as long as these culprits undergo extensive trials in the court and will  eventually be proven guilty without any reasonable doubt then they deserve any of those grave penalties.

          Therefore the best way to prevent major crimes should be the fixed punishments otherwise more and more people will still keep on committing major offences.

EVeryday Graces

          January is almost over and just like any other month, we indeed have lots of reasons to be thankful to all events we have on the course of this month. They become instruments for all of us to know deeper ourselves. What a wonderful feeling is it when we come to terms with ourselves.

          Self- realization is such a long and lifetime process. Since the moment when we were born up to the stage that we are now, it is undoubtedly the most wonderful part when we discover who we are. Consequently, our basic relationships are positively affected by this self discovery. Life's stages becomes overwhelming events and they add colors to our everyday living.

          However let us also constantly look back on those turning points in our life. Some of those events were challenging indeed that they have caused us so much pain and tribulations. However, when we courageously hurdled them and emerged triumphant, we then feel that we have outgrown those baggages and leave them behind.

          Hence, let us free ourselves from the prone to reliance, instead, we take all our everyday graces to the top and with them, we will become free and victorious.

What I Want My Kid To Remember During The Holidays

Note: "As an  Amazon Associate, I earn fromqualifying purchases. Amazon and Amazon logo are trademarks of Amazon.com,Inc. or its affiliates."

         Amidst the business of this holiday season, we are caught up, at times, in a day to day bickering due to all its fast changing paces. However, when we come to our loved ones especially with our kids, nevertheless we consistently see to it that we leave them nothing but the most positive influences in life.

          Personally, I want my kid to remember especially on this season the idea of sharing. In fact, I believe in what others say that one of the most essential things in life is sharing. Yes. That's exactly what I want my little boy to remember when he becomes a grown up. I want him to relive and relive the feeling of being so wonderful when he is able to share his presence, time, skills etc. with others. The idea of sharing goes beyond one's limitations such as physical, social, spiritual. Although it is a fact that we all have our own limitations yet what counts most for us all is that we can muster sufficient courage to embrace them and move on with life.
Melbourne's Yarra River: by Angelyn Vania Sihombing

          I need to show to my kid that one's real strength goes deeper and never lies merely on the surface. Moreover, at times, paradoxically, we come to terms just with our own weaknesses and never appreciates our own strength. That's exactly what I want to impart with  my kid that when he grows up, essential things in life are those which are kept deep in ourselves such as our values and traits.....considered as our treasures and beyond any price.

Welcoming This New Month

          Among many of us, the most awaited month of the year is this month December. Alongside this, many are already expecting more surprises on this month like bonus, gifts, visits, holidays etc. How about you, how do you welcome this month? Are you full of excitement in facing it?

          Whatever your own preparation is, the best way to welcome this month is by sharing your gifts like life, time, skills and others with others. Everyday, there are so many experiences that happen to you and me. However, when we started this December, you and me can immediately feel the excitement and lively spirit of our brothers and sisters who are very eager to live out the day by day event of the month.

           May we always bear in mind as well the plight of those who are presently experiencing deprivations (no matter what it is) and difficulties among these days. Each day, every one is busy to think of what to give as a surprise to somebody on this month yet we are also aware that many are even underprivileged to even think of any give away.

           On the other hand, what is consoling is the spirit of resiliency among us that no matter how difficult life can be, there would always be reasons to be positive especially during this special month of December.

MAN's GREEDINESS

          Recently, I had the opportunity to attend one gathering and I was so glad about the sharing of ideas especially on the topic man's greediness. The exchanges of ideas and experiences were very moving and realistic most notably that they came from the participants' own life experiences.

          There were several concrete experiences shared by the audience like somebody shared that she works so hard in her job sometimes taking two jobs in a day. She is doing it so that she can save for her holidays. She asked then the group and the facilitator if she committed a greed or not. Varying explanations were given such as:

- it is greediness if she in the process forgets her other commitments especially towards her husband and the children;
 - it is greediness if she hurts somebody in the course of doing such routine;
 - it is not if she never forgets to take care of herself

          Another topic that caught my attention is the one on one's transformation. As shared, it is not an easy process to undergo transformation especially if it involves radical shift. Furthermore, it is never been an abrupt reality or instant but rather, it takes time to experience the process and it asks as well from the involved party the consistency so that the change can be attained.

          Basically man is composed of both negative and positive therefore to be able to embrace oneself as real and genuine, he/she needs to let go of all negative emotions and allow the positive energy to flow into one's life.
