Why I Disappeared From Blogging — And Why I’m Starting Again

This post has been long overdue. And at this time, I will share with you one moment in my life of blogging when everything seemed negative.

There was a point in my life wherein I disappeared.

Not just from blogging—but from showing up consistently in my own life goals.

If you’re reading this and wondering where I went, why the posts stopped, or if this blog was quietly abandoned, the honest answer is simple: life happened, and I didn’t handle it as well as I wanted to. As they said, at times life becomes out of our control.

But there came a point also in my life that I stood up and started again.

Not perfectly.
Not confidently.
But deliberately.

When Motivation Runs Out but Life Doesn’t Pause

When I first started blogging, everything felt exciting. Ideas flowed. Hope was high. Every post felt like progress.

Then reality crept in.

Responsibilities increased. Moreover, other commitments also came long the way.
Consequently energy dropped.
Doubts got louder.

Some days, it felt easier to postpone writing than to face the uncomfortable truth that I wasn’t where I wanted to be—financially, emotionally, or professionally.

And so I told myself:

“I’ll write again when things settle down.”

They never did.

The Silent Weight of Falling Behind

What people don’t talk about enough is the quiet shame of inconsistency. To be consistent in everything we do is indeed a huge challenge.

You don’t fail loudly.
You fade slowly.

Days just gone by. Weeks pass.
Then months.
Then suddenly you’re avoiding the very thing that once gave you purpose.

I kept the blog though.
I just stopped believing in my momentum.

And that’s heavier than quitting.

Why I Didn’t Quit Completely

Here’s the truth that matters most:

I never deleted this blog.

Because somewhere deep inside, I knew this wasn’t over.

Every unfinished post, every draft left untouched, every missed opportunity—it wasn’t failure. It was pause. A long one, yes, but not a permanent one. What a sigh of relief when I realized that after every rainfall, the bright rays of the rainbow comes along.

If you’re reading this and you feel behind in life, I want you to hear this clearly:

Being behind does not disqualify you from restarting.

 What Changed This Time

This restart isn’t driven by hype. Nowadays this desire is driven by that willingness to share my time, ideas and experiences with others believing that in so doing, I am sharing this very LIFE in me.

Now the desire is driven by clarity.

I now understand that:

  • Consistency beats motivation
  • Small steps rebuild confidence
  • Progress doesn’t require perfection

I’m no longer waiting to “feel ready.”
I’m choosing to show up anyway.

And this blog will reflect that honesty. Sharing also with you some books that helped me reset my mindset:

What This Blog Will Be About Moving Forward

My Life Journey is not about pretending life is perfect.

It’s about:

  • Personal growth when you feel late
  • Rebuilding discipline after burnout
  • Finding meaning while still figuring things out
  • Faith, resilience, and practical self-improvement
  • Learning how to move forward—even slowly

This is a space for people who haven’t “made it” yet—but refuse to give up.

If You’re Restarting Too, You’re Not Alone

Maybe you stopped writing. Maybe you took a big U-turn in your life.
Maybe you paused your goals.
Maybe life knocked you down quietly.

This post is for you.

Restarting doesn’t mean erasing the past.
It means using it. It means learningn to look back and reroute our life to the better way.

And today, I’m choosing to use mine.

A Promise Going Forward

I can’t promise daily posts.
I can’t promise instant success.

But I can promise this:

I will keep showing up. I will nurture that element of positivity within me.
I will write honestly. And I will share my own life journey with you.
And as I rebuild this journey—let me do it one post at a time.

If you’re walking a similar path, stay with me.

We’re starting again. After all, life is ought to be shared with others.
Together.

The "Procrastination Pivot": How to Win When You Don't Feel Like Doing Anything

We've been told that proscrastination is the "thief of time." My main blog probably tells people to "just do it". But what about the days when my brain simply says no?

The secret isn't to fight my lack of motivation- but rather it's to pivot it. Today we are talking about "Productive Proscrastination"- the art of doing  "Task B" when I am too overwhelmed to do "Task A".

Let me share with you those moments in which I have no or less energy to perform simple tasks yet high rewarding ones such as cleaning my desk, updating my old blog post, organizing my inbox and many more. Thus in such a situation, I commit myself to just 5 minutes of "productive proscrastination.

Often, the momentum from the small task carries me back to the big one.

One time, I was trying to update my travel blog yet I was stuck that eventually it led me to organizing rather my photo library. Thus I would say proscrastination isn't a "willpower" problem; it's a brain-wiring problem. In your case, if you find yourself stuck in a loop of inaction, you might need a system to rewire your focus.

Experience wise, I've been looking into this product from Clickbank named Neurowave Daily Brain Audio-Memory & Focus ( 16 sessions)- ( https://32c4fytf2b1p3bfjjoxfy818ue.hop.clickbank.net/?&traffic_source=Mylifejourney ) What is interesting in this one is the fact that it uses science-based audio/training to help reset your focus levels.

On the other hand, there are those instances that my alternative way is to make use of productivity planner to allow me to get back on track. This specific tool from Amazon can help you on this one as much as I do- https://amzn.to/4w3iOla

Conclusion:

Hence for you and me, let us stop beating ourselves for being human, and if we can't climb the mountain today, at least let us clear the path at the bottom. Let us allow ourselves to ask such question as " Which small task shall we going  to tackle right now?"
