Have you ever wondered why are there different colours on a rainbow? In fact, a rainbow is composed of seven colours such as red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet. That when one colour is intertwined with the rest of those colours, this resulted to a magnificently designed rainbow.
According to Wikipedia, " a rainbow is a meteorological phenomenom that is caused by reflection, refraction and dispersion of light in water droplets resulting in a spectrum of light appearing in the sky. It takes the form of a multicoloured arc."
One occasion, while watching a rainbow in the sky, a reflection dawned on me about life itself. And I realised that life on itself is a mix and interactions of so many factors. Colours of life could refer to the various stages and chapters that we can be in. Or these colours could also represent the various phases of emotions we come into experience each single day.
Moreover, while I consider myself and others as an active or passive onlookers of any rainbow, we could also take part either in a very crucial way or a mere participant on these colours of life. As William Ernest Henley said in his poem Invictus, " ...I am the master of my fate, I am the captain of my soul."....we also are responsible how to incorporate the different colours of our lives.
And it would never be the responsibility of others to check on our growth but rather, we are solely accountable on how we become in the future. Finally, others can only accompany us on this journey but the consequence to any choice that we will take will be our call. At the end of the day, it's us who either will make or break these colours of our life.
